Start your Fourth of July with an annual tradition in Historic Downtown Yuma. The Caballeros de Yuma hosts the annual Independence Day Flag Raising Ceremony, honoring the courage and dedication of our servicemen and women while raising the Stars and Stripes high above the city of Yuma.

Location: Armed Services Park, 281 S. Gila Street, in Historic Downtown Yuma
Admission: Free
Seating: Available on cement bleachers and chairs set up throughout the park; first come, first served

What to Expect At The Flag Raising Ceremony

The ceremony is a heartfelt tribute to Yuma’s military community, featuring:

• Speakers from Marine Corps Air Station and Yuma Proving Ground
• Recognition of the Marines and soldiers serving at local military bases
• Raising of the Stars and Stripes at Armed Services Park

This special morning ceremony allows attendees to pause, reflect and celebrate the bravery and service of the men and women who protect our nation.

What To Know Before You Go

• Drones are not allowed without express written consent from the host
• Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis
• The ceremony lasts approximately one hour
