From there, runners will make their way to the historic Yuma Territorial Prison, 220 Prison Hill Road. A beverage and refueling station will be waiting at the prison before participants turn around and head back to the brewery.
Whether you race for speed, style or the promise of another drink at the finish line, the goal is simple: escape the prison and make it back to Prison Hill.
Crossing the finish line is only the beginning. The celebration continues at Prison Hill Brewing Co. with live music, an awards ceremony, escapee-worthy trophies and plenty of post-race fun!
Gather with your fellow runners, compare your escape stories and celebrate a successful jailbreak in the heart of Downtown Yuma.
Creative prison-themed clothing and costumes are highly encouraged. Dress as an outlaw, inmate, lawman, prison guard or any other character inspired by the event’s theme.
The more creative, the better … and who knows? You may even win something for your efforts.
All proceeds from the Prison to Prison Beer Run benefit the Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area. By registering, participants are not only joining one of Downtown Yuma’s most unique events, but also supporting the preservation of the places and stories that make Yuma special.
Round up your fellow inmates, start planning your costume and prepare for an unforgettable morning of running, refreshments, history and fun.
