At Relay For Life, no one faces cancer alone. Each year, communities across the country come together to celebrate survivors, recognize caregivers, remember loved ones lost, and take action to help end cancer as we know it.

On Saturday, March 21, 2026, Relay For Life takes over the Pacific Avenue Athletic Complex for a powerful day of connection, hope and purpose, uniting Yuma County in a shared commitment to support people impacted by cancer and to fuel the work of the American Cancer Society through advocacy, research, and patient support.

What Is Relay For Life?

Relay For Life of Yuma County is a volunteer-led community experience that brings people together around a shared vision: a future free from cancer, for everyone.

Throughout the day, teams and participants take part in a 12-hour event filled with entertainment, fun, fellowship, and meaningful moments, all while raising funds to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families. Relay For Life also helps educate the community and promotes ways to help prevent cancer whenever possible.

Relay For Life of Yuma County is built around four powerful goals:

Celebrating Survivors: Honoring those who have faced cancer with courage and resilience, and celebrating the strength it takes to keep going.

Recognizing Caregivers: Acknowledging the steady support of those who walk alongside a loved one through diagnosis, treatment and recovery.

Lighting the Way: Remembering those we’ve lost through the moving luminaria ceremony, a heartfelt tribute that brings the community together in reflection and hope.

Taking Action: Uniting to build a future free from cancer by supporting the American Cancer Society’s efforts in advocacy, research, and patient support, so everyone has the opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.
